I took this picture at the mission in Solvang, CA.
Its too bad I didn’t have a Tripod with me. I ended up having to take this picture by putting the camera on a concrete post to stabilize it long enough to take the shot. From an effect standpoint this picture came out wonderfully. It did exactly what I wanted lighting the trees and giving a spooky but at the same time peaceful and reverent feel to it.
My question, for anyone who might be a photographer of any skill whatsoever. Besides the obvious of using a tripod and putting the camera where I wanted to put it instead of where I was forced to put it, what could I have done to compose this picture in a way that it really looked good?
